Frank and Liesbeth met at a young age and worked together in a cosy forest restaurant in Ermelo. Starting as dishwashers and working their way up to service and later managing positions, the couple developed a shared dream: their own restaurant.

"We dreamed of opening our own restaurant where we could put our own concept on the menu. To continuously surprise our guests with delicious and day-fresh products in a homey atmosphere."

In love

When we walked into the current building in 2011, it was love at first sight. The atmosphere of the building: the trusses, high ceilings, mezzanine, and fireplace. It fitted with the romantic atmosphere we had envisioned.

Living room

We believe it's important to be ourselves. We like etiquette, but retain an informal atmosphere. We love to pamper our customers. It's the little things that do it; taking your coat, serving ladies first, holding the door open for you. The restaurant now feels like our living room, in which we serve surprising dishes in an unforced atmosphere. You can take your time when you have lunch or dinner with us. Wine can also contribute to an optimal experience at dinner. Especially Frank concerns himself with the wines, but Liesbeth naturally needs to support the wine choices! Dishes can take on additional depth by pairing them with the right wine. Within our price segment, we work with approx. 30 open wines, which change regularly, to accompany our dishes.
